Victorian Sentencing Manual

The Victorian Sentencing Manual (VSM) provides a practical and up-to-date guide to sentencing in all Victorian jurisdictions. A significant feature of the VSM is the summaries of ‘Recent Cases’ from the Court of Appeal under each offence, these are updated regularly.

The VSM involved a substantial rewrite of the two-volume Victorian Sentencing Manual, originally authored by Judge Paul Mullaly. The manual is equivalent to 2400 pages in length.

This manual is solely available as an online document. The College does not prepare or provide print or CD-ROM versions, and the manual cannot be saved to a user's computer.

The online manual and its launch were profiled in the Summer 2005 edition of the Victorian Bar News.
